Lightbulb Request : How to make 8 Bit Games tutorials

I've just read some Cocos2D tutorials. I see that Tiled can make the maps. I don't know how to go about in making the pixel characters, objects, environments. Something similar to Game Dev Story or Hot Springs Story.

Is Cocos2D the right SDK to be using for this? I couldn't find any tutorials online about this subject.

Thank you.

I complete agree, check out Ray and don't feel afraid to email him. He is a really cool dude and responds with logical helpful answers. I also definitely recommend Cocos2d especially now that rc1.0 is out! Angry Penguins was made with Cocos2d! I've used it for a few different games including PotHead and BigPuddle and definitely plan on using it for more.

Tiled works great; go ahead and grab a copy of ParticleDesigner as well since I'm sure you will fall in love with it once you start using Cocos2d.

Good luck man!

Thanks for the examples. Haven't fully thought of the whole idea on how the controls will be yet. Stuck if there should be buttons on the screen or not.
