generate app file for iphone

Hi i have an iphone application which runs in simulator now i need to generate an app file . i got the certificate install on my pc and in keychain access its showing that certificate installed SUCCESSFULLY now my concern is that how do i build app file that runs on iphone/ipod ?

Change the drop down list on the top left of Xcode to 'Device - x.x.x - Debug'. It should say 'Simulator - x.x.x - Debug' at the moment.

Also, you need your provisioning profile set up and installed.

While uploading to iTunesConnect, you are given specific instructions on what to do as far as packing your app bundle. If you're just looking to compile it for the device, then you may, in the top right corner of your Xcode project window, select device.
