Can't save or save-as tutorial?

I'm new to the mac and learning my way around. I downloaded a tutorial for a bouncing ball and can load and run it fine in xcode.

I want to save this project as I tweak and play with the code. but I can't save or save-as the tutorial project (save and save-as are grayed out / inactive). Other projects save fine.

Is the tutorial protected so I can't save my own modified copy? Can I get around this?
