New leadership, same great community (plus more good stuff to come)
As some of you know, I've been thinking of handing over the reins of iPhone Dev SDK for a while now, but wanted to be sure the community was in the right hands before stepping aside. After lots of conversations with several interested parties, I finally settled on a group that I think will not only respect the values and spirit of the community, but can also bring new kinds of value in an area that many of you care a lot about: app marketing and distribution. Effective today, I'm pleased to introduce the AppStoreHQ Team - Chris, Ian and Brett - as the new administrators of iPhone Dev SDK.
For those of you who don't know about AppStoreHQ, it's the leading independent search and discovery service for iPhone applications (they also power app search for several of the leading iPhone review blogs). The team at AppStoreHQ is focused on creating a great collection of marketing and distribution tools for iPhone developers -- their mission as a business is to help all of you build *your* businesses.
I'll be staying involved with the community through the transition, and I'd encourage any of you who have questions or ideas for Chris, Ian and Brett to speak up and help them find their feet. If you want to reach any of them directly, their new email addresses are: chrisd@iphonedevsdk.com, iseff@iphonedevsdk.com, and brettnak@iphonedevsdk.com. Of course, you can still reach me at chris@iphonedevsdk.com.
Thanks to all of you for your support and advice these past 2 years - it's been a great ride so far, and I'm very excited to see where all of you take this community next.

Chris Stewart
Founder, iPhone Dev SDK
Sweet, these guys (AppStoreHQ) were funded by Andy Sack and team, the same guys who funded BigDoor (see my signature link). Good to see the site in good hands.
Hi everyone,
First, thanks to Chris for the introduction and his work building a terrific site. I wanted to take a second and personally introduce myself to all of you. I'm a co-founder at AppStoreHQ, and all of us involved are extremely excited, proud, and humbled to be taking over such a great forum and community.
Our primary goal in our new role at iPhone Dev SDK is to keep the community going and growing. Short term, we don't expect to make any major changes. Longer term, we have some ideas for very exciting features to help you as an iPhone developer build, promote, and maintain your apps.
Most of all, we'd love to hear any comments, suggestions, ideas, etc that you may have for us. Feel free to email me directly anytime at iseff@iphonedevsdk.com.
Any reason why your domain (iphonedevsdk.com) is flagged as having 200 instances of malware? Looks like the handoff wasnt smooth
This site is absolutely serving up and installing malware now!!!
I decided that it was about time to catch up with some threads after being gone for weeks. Sat down on the couch last night with my Windows Laptop (because I can't watch Football with my iMac on my lap!), refreshed an old tab for the iPhoneDevSDK forums and BAM, my laptop completely and locks up after the page loads. Had to hold the damn off switch, boot up in safe mode, and found that some crappy malware driver installed itself. Fortunately it seems that this particular malware was designed to run on Vista and/or Windows 7 because it would only lock up my Win XP machine every time it loaded instead of doing whatever insidious thing it was designed for. Removed the file and all references in the registry to fix it.
I won't be visiting here very often now, and certainly not from a Windows PC of any kind until I see some confirmation that you've addressed this critical issue. For reference the malware was served up to me between 5 and 6PM EST on 1/24/2010.
Posted from my iMac for my safety.

Can you guys put an end to the PR agencies trying to sell us PR related products and services in the "Promotional Techniques" section? It's getting tiring listening to the same pitch over and over whenever someone posts. It's pretty much spam because it doesn't provide an honest objective opinion/answer to questions.
