Hey everyone!
Ryan Merket, CEO of
Appstores.com here. I just wanted to let you guys know about our platform we just announced -- appstores.com. I previously worked at Facebook and co-founded Ping.fm.
What we're announcing:
* Publisher app stores and review sites
* App optimized HTML5 ad units
* Central developer dashboard
Publisher App Stores and Review Sites
We are giving website owners the tools to able to have their own niche app galleries. Publishers can easily curate from over 1,000,000 apps on the iOS, Android, and HTML5 platforms. Totally customizable to match their websites. Editorial tools for reviews and ratings.
Problems we're solving:
Consumers: App discoverability. Now as consumers are browsing their favorite sites, they can discover apps that are relevant to their interests and easily send those apps to their device with our "Send to Phone" feature (SMS, QR, or e-mail).
Developers: Relevant app downloads. Now apps like AllTrails can get relevant downloads from sites like OutdoorzyApps.com (powered by Appstores.com).
Publishers: More content, higher engagement on their website, increased ad inventory, and tools to help them expand their thought leadership.
Launch partners:
HelloBrit.com (
HelloBrit.com | App Showcase)
CreateDigitalMusic.com (
http://apps.creativedigitalmusic.com)
FabFitFun.com (
Giuliana Rancic's FabFitFun | App Store)
OutDoorzy.com (
Outdoorzy Appstore | The best fishing, hunting, outdoors, camping, hiking, and recreational apps!)
iPhoneGames.com (
iPhone Games | The independent directory for the greatest games for iPhone and iPod Touch)
HTML5 Mobile Ad Units
Our ad units run in the mobile web and analyze the content of the page to show relevant apps. "AdSense for apps."
Problems we're solving:
Consumers: App discoverability. They now get recommended apps based on the content they like to read.
Developers: The mobile web is huge (+200M mobile websites), now developers can harness this traffic and acquire loyal users.
Publishers: It's hard to monetize mobile traffic. We increase mobile eCPMs by showing ads that users love -- apps.
Launch partners: 9GAG, TheNextWeb, WPtouch (largest Wordpress mobile solution, powering 25M mobile sites), and Topix
Network size at launch: +300M mobile pageviews
Estimated network size end of Q1 2012: +1B mobile pageviews
Campaign types: CPC, CPM, or CPI
Developer Dashboard
Also starting today, developers can goto
Appstores.com and claim their app (we already have the full inventory, so no need to submit their apps) and begin tracking their app views, clicks, and installs on the Appstores Distribution Network. After they claim their app they will receive an e-mail anytime a publisher adds their app to their niche app store and soon the ability to launch a paid advertising campaign on the Appstores Network.
If guys have any questions, please reply to this thread and I'll happy to answer them as they come.
Thanks for reading! Looking forward to getting all of you some quality downloads...
