I’m new here on the site, so don’t bite my head off if this is in the wrong section.
Just wondering if I could get your help on something...
I just finished a major project of mine, which is basically the "Facebook" for iDevice users. It’s a social community for iDevice users from everywhere.
I started this site to bring the iOS developers, designers, and all other professionals closer to the buyers , and vice versa of course.
I just started two months ago and already have 1000+ members on there, and each day there are joining more and more. They are all iPhone, iPad and/or iPod users. This is your main target, and don’t need to worry if someone is using an iDevice. I’m planning to have around 1500+ members in March 2012 and hopefully 3500+ at the end of this year.
I first concentrated on getting as much members on there, but now I got them it’s time to give you as a developers the change to get your App or any other product to the attention of these members.
The site is totally free to join and always will be. Anyone can join, if they follow the rules like on any social club. Just like this forum.
Ok, what’s the plan. I’m offering anyone who’s interested, to register, not as a regular member, but as a “Developer” or a “Developer Pro”. I’m just starting and need to see the response of my members and need to test some stages. That’s why I’m offering these packages to the first 10 developers who are interested and needs this exposure for his App, totally for free.
What is it what you get:
Developer Pro account
Access to all iDevice users
Development area (special dev’s area)*
Beta testers (real members to test)
Daily Deals (Promo codes system)
Promoting/Business page
Review of your App
Video review of your App
Helpdesk*
Forum
Mailing (Newsletters)
Ad placement (Ad space visible to all users)
*These are WIP’s. But will be added shortly
I'll take your advice seriously, and I plan on using this next week or even months to make some changes if you as a developer needs any.
Please let me know if you’re interested - thanks.
Regards,
Ryan

hi i am interested as well! let me know what i need to do
Hi there, I've just read this post and interested so I already registered.
Are there any place left for dev acccounts for me?
my username already been pm'ed to you.
Thanks
I'm confused about few things: what is it and why do I have to register (even if it's free and I might not have to register).
If I only want to read your blog/site then the registration shouldn't be so prominent even if it's free.
I hate to open up a site and bang a huge banner saying:
"Give us your email cos it's free..."
Well ok show me first what it is, then I can decide.
It's a social community for iDevice users. People are sharing thing like on Facebook, but here 99% are iDevice users.
Some things are just open for all visitors, it's not closed cause we need the visitors to come and also can see what's on it. But there are more things to do when you register. These things are not shown in the menu on top of the page.
I know you don't want to give everybody your email, but that's needed to get in touch with each member for doing the mailings of apps you as a developer wants to be promoted.
You can read the Terms or our Privacy statement. And see what we stands for.

When it finally loaded up it looked pretty decent but I'll stick with Groupie. No offense just DevSocial reminds me too much of Facebook...and I'll use Facebook for Facebook. If I want to chat, be social, and like minded I've already found Groupie and it's larger, with full web and iOS apps, and gives you a bit more freedom over what you want to talk about.
Still awesome concept...Interested in knowing about the coding...was it all from scratch because that had to have been intense....
