What does "Top-paid app" on iTunes/App Store mean?

To my surprise, I just noticed that my app "India General Knowledge Quiz" became the top-paid app in Education category on App Store. What does that mean? Does it mean that its the highest revenue generating app or number of units sold is highest in the category?

Please share your thoughts.

Also, I would like to extend my gratitude to this forum who helped me time and again in past to solve my various queries and come out with my first app.

Actually this app is only $0.99 so not sure does being in Top-Paid as No 1 means that it generated highest revenue (amount) or is it that number of units sold is highest, not necessarily highest amount.. Just curious to know.. I am sorry if my queries troubled you.
