Hello,
I wanted to take this opportunity to talk a bit about my new service.
About a year ago I started to introduce some close friends to the world of iOS development. Since we didn't live in the same city, it kinda made it impossible to actually meet in person and talk about those things. We started using iChat and discovered, that the screen sharing feature was actually a pretty good way to teach coding.
A couple months back, I launched the
www.codingsessions.com website and started to offer live coding sessions to everyone interested out there. I've had clients from all over the world and with my help they were able to quickly get up to speed with the iOS SDK and put their first app on the store a lot faster.
Potential customers often ask me the same questions over and over again (which I don't mind btw), so I'd like to sum up, who this service is or is not for:
This service is for you, if:
* You have played around with the iOS SDK for a bit and found out about all the things you don't know how to use.
* You want to get up to speed with basic iOS coding techniques (UIKit, etc...)
* You have realistic expectations
This service is NOT for you, if:
* You don't have a Mac or a valid iOS developer membership. (Basic/Free membership is ok, but then we can not talk about things that are under NDA: upcoming iOS 5 for example)
* You can not talk (no microphone) on iChat.
* You want to make a "World of Warcraft" kinda game all by yourself
I always make a screen recording of each session, which can be downloaded for free a couple hours later. This way, you can watch it over and over again at no extra cost.
Sessions are available in english / german language and can usually be scheduled within 48 - 72 hours. I've put together a set of 10 different sessions, that you can choose from, but it is certainly possible to get more specific on certain topics. For example, some people want to talk more about UITableViews, than UIButtons.
Feel welcome to check out my website:
www.codingsessions.com and do not hesitate to hit me with any questions you might have. You can send me a PM here or simply use the contact form on my website.
Thank you very much.
