Our outfit is a broker for companies looking to create iphone and Android apps. Currently we have more company's contacting us than we have a variety of vendors to accomodate them.

As a result, we've had to spend more of our time contacting vendors directly to forward the leads. It would make it much easier if we had more vendors registered.

These are valid leads from reputable companies. The average budget has been between 8,000 to 20,000. Sometimes they are lower, sometimes higher. Our fee to pass the lead along is miniscule.

When a client contacts you, you send out leads to 3 developers, and each developer then has to pay a $25 - 40 fee, regardless of whether they actually get the contract? Am I understanding that correctly?

i read the same thing and it really is that bad! you'd go broke in no time! seriously, what moron is going to let you soak $25 out of them for the glorious benefit of having some other moron who doesn't value our skills ask for people to make their 10,000+hour project for them for the price of $2500?! i get plenty of these types of offers for free, so why would i pay you $25 for the privilege of it?

i know, i'm greedy. i don't deserve to eat and should just work for $0.25/hr. heck, i should be paying for the opportunity to work. i should definitely be paying $25 a pop for leads about such opportunities. when am i going to learn that my skill set is really so worthless that i should be grateful for any opportunity to get turned down for less than a living wage?!
