My name is Bilal Ahmed and have created a site called MillionDollariPhoneApplication.com, a concept similar to milliondollarhomepage.com but very specific to iPhone/iPod application only.
You know how tough it is to market iPhone application once it gets down to the list in App Store. Even if it's not then you will have a chance to get more sales as MillionDollariPhoneApplication.com will be up and running for at least 5 years but my idea is to keep it forever.
There are 1,000,000 pixels (blocks of 10x10 pixel) on the page. Each box (10x10 pixels) cost only $25! That's right only $25! This will give you a marketing for your application for at least 5 years. Where you can get that for that piece of money!!!

I will keep the site forever! Nobody can actually claim that because domain name registration is not for ever. I will keep renewing the domain after every 5 years.
Million Dollar website idea is a proven one so it will get more Marketing mileage out of it and soon on the site I will be offering a prize of $1000 for every 100,000 pixels sold. It will be a lucky draw and anybody who subscribe on MillionDollariPhoneApplication.com site including iPhone developers (who bought pixels on the site) will be included in the draw.

Anybody including iPhone developer can subscribe to win $100,000. To make more beneficial for iPhone developers I will be sending out a weekly email (subscriber has to accept this policy in order to qualify for the prize) to all the subscriber which will have listing of all the applications listed on MillionDollariPhoneApplication.com site.
I have also created a facebook page for MillionDollariPhoneApplication.com to attract more visitors to the site.

It looks like only one taker for your site so far. Maybe you need to start at a lower price to attract customers? For me, $25 is a risk for a site that has not yet gotten any sort of track record? Just my 2 cents.

It worked once. It may work again (the 1000th time). Unfortunately the idea is really used already. You would need more attraction to get well known.
I would submit my app for free to make your site a bit more attractive. Then you have to market market market, so you get visits and developers think, it may be a good investition...
Thousand Apps (Thousand Apps!) is just a copy of the million dollar homepage and that's pretty clear.
Despite of that, it's a unique idea of its kind because it's the first that involves iPhone applications. The idea would suck because it's just a copy of the famous site, but Thousand Apps is working because they had the idea first and because the price is pretty cheap.
$25 for a very small space is not a good investment.
I don't see a good future for this project.
Let's leave Thousand Apps alone. We don't need many of these sites, I think.
