The article also quotes ComboApp's COO and the CEO of GTekna, two services that previously offered Top 100 and Top 25 rankings, respectively. While ComboApp said they would continue to offer the service, GTekna backed down with theirs, offering promotion but not the guaranteed App Store ranking.
I'm sure we're not the only ones who have considered using these services for our own apps. Seemed all rather dubious to be honest and in the end we didn't think it was worth it. Now it looks like using something like this would get your developers license revoked by Apple. What are your thoughts on this?
