Default Promo Codes When App Is Updated

Hey there. I obtained 50 promo codes for the 1.0 version of my app. I just submitted a new 2.0 update, and I was wondering, when the update goes through will these old promo codes still work? Or will they give the people the old 1.0 version?

Thanks.

Alright cool thanks. Also, would I be allowed to call Apple and request more?

Apple said that the previous promo codes will not work for the updated version. I will just make the app free for one day only. After changing the price in iTunes connect, does anyone know if the price change takes effect immediately, or do they have to review it again? Thanks.

I gave out promo codes and updated the app, those who downloaded the 1.0 were able to update to 1.1 and those who still hadn't redeemed the 1.0 when 1.1 was released were still able to use the 1.0 codes. This has been my experience thus far.

If you have used all of your previous 50 codes for version 1, those are not going to work again... You might have got new 50 promo codes after your
2version submission. You can use these new one not the previous one if already used.

A promo code will stay valid for four weeks from the day of the download, then expire. Which version of the app you obtain using the code does not matter.

On the day on which the code is used the code must be less than four weeks old and the app must be available. Which version number the app has at this day and if this code was downloaded for that particular version does not matter.

If you use Hold for Developer release you can download the "old" codes still remaining in your entitlement right before making the new version available for sale. Including the 50 "new" codes you will have up to 100 codes for the (then) current version.
