itunes reviews and ratings by Gift an app feature matters?

Hi,

Apple has introduced a feature to gift a paid app to any friend. Can anyone please tell that the itunes reviews and ratings matters on app store if the a person downloads the paid app as a gift? or apple don't consider such reviews and ratings?

Suppose if i gift a paid app to my friend. He downloads it and gives a 5star rating and a very good review. Will apple consider that review in improving app raking?

If your "friend" is some stranger with whom you traded reviews, then Apple will very likely pull your app and revoke your privilege to submit apps in the future. and rightly so! The rest of us rely on quality and integrity to promote our apps.
