Default How to find competitor apps keywords?

Hi,

Is there any possible way to find out the exact keywords used by the competitor app?
Suppose, if i want to find the keywords of this app : App Store - Lane Splitter

Is it possible?

Please share the best ways to search keywords for the app.

I don't have an answer for you, but I'm curious myself. I'm trying to learn more about the way the mobile app world works.

I've never submitted an app before - when you do submit an app, do you have the option to choose your own keywords? If so, how many are you allowed?

100 characters.

Why not just type in a bunch of keywords you think that app may have, and if you hit the app in the results, good chance they are using those keywords.

Hello sarah,
Better you first take a complete idea about the app you are talking about. It's very difficult to get crowd for similar type of apps. If a game is highly popular like angry birds and you are making clone of it, you need to take most of the keyword same to get adeqaute nos of views to your app.
I will suggest you some keyword later after having a complete look to the app.

Thanks,

Yes we can only guess using the app name, but we can't get the competitors apps keyword accurately.

Read through the app description carefully, and you'll probably be able to guess the keywords.
You might also try and do a few searches to see for which keywords it shows up!

No official way, but looking through description & name should help.

In AppCod.es if you start following a couple of competitors, the app extracts popular words from their names, descriptions and (soon) press releases. This helps to some extent.

As for the SEO itself, check out my tutorial: App Store SEO tutorial
