Question Developers of education apps don’t work with publishers. Why?

When I speaking about educations apps I mean apps for toddlers and kids. I’ve just look at Top100 developers of such app and if I don’t miss anything - none of them works with publishers.
Actually I've mailed to chillingo and ask are they interesting in kids games. They answered that it’s not their market but they have one game - The Moogies and only because in this game TV-quality animation.
But there are a lot cool publishers except chillingo so I wonder – why?? Why don’t education apps developers work with publishers??

A good question, my friends released two kids' apps, and it didn't even cross their minds to work with any publishers.

My theory:
- there just aren't any publishers to work with
- kids' games are usually quite basic (at least when you're talking about toddlers), so if you have resources to become a publisher, it's quite easy to become a producer as well
- kids' market is smaller compared to action (although it's still quite big), so no big bugs to be earned, although you can earn some decent cash

Anyway - why are you asking? If you're consider building a publishing company, pm me.

Hello. I just wanted to comment saying that if you are building a publishing company, I could be a help. I have worked to promote many apps so I have some good experience. I also run The Central App Review. PM if interested.

Thanks merlin for you answer. No on the contrary at the moment I think more about development than publishing. And I strongly believe that developers should concentrate on their product and let professional publishers make their "black magic" )) So my main purpose was to find publisher and understand other developers logic in this question.
