Pay Per Download Promotion

Hi

I am planning to use pay per download (PPD) to promote my iphone application which is already available on apple store.

Is "pay per download" allowed according to apple terms and policies? Is it legal? Is there any kind of risk? I just want to make sure that they won't remove my application from apple store if I use PPD.

Is there anyone who has used PPD previously or is currently using PPD? can you please share your experience with PPD? Did you get some good results?

If you know any good website that offers PPD for iphone apps then please reply with website name.
