When to switch from FREE to PAID $ ? (Photo & Video)

Hello I'm wondering what is the rank/number of downloads for an 'Photo & Video' after which it can be switched to 'Paid App' and maintain high rank. Are there any estimates that you have share ? I got ~5k downlands in a first day of release Face Switch 1.3. App is not (yet) featured by apple anyware.

I tested it on Polish market before.I kept it free for 3 weeks. By that time it got to #1 overall. Then I switched to 1.99. I did mantained hight rank in photo category (avg. 7) but i think after 3 weeks I could have also burned my markert...

I'll be thankful for any suggestions !
