Promotional videos: how many views and does it impact sales?

Previously, I made a youtube video for my first iPhone game, but it has hardly had any views (around 20 views per month). I'm thinking of making another video for my newest game, but I'm not sure if it's worth the effort.

Anyone have good or bad experience with making preview videos?
How many youtube views do you get on average?
Did it have an impact on sales? (how do you measure this? )

I think app videos are really needed, if for any other reason that it gives review sites a chance to see your app and make it more noticeable. A lot of sites even have a place for it on the forum when you submit it. Your video will say so much more than writing ever can.

Videos are a great promo tool especially if you do a wide PR which allows you to also post your video. Definitely worth the effort

Hey Internettalks, could you expand on that a bit? I'm definitely in that category of developers who created his video, I post it on forums discussing games and I send it to reviewers. But I have no idea how to drum up more results. Are you suggesting that there are people that will put it on more sites to view, or are there people who can bring in traffic to your youtube site?
