Default My good deed for the day!

We recently launched our first ever app on the App Store, and now having gone through the whole process from start to finish, I can see what a difficult market this can be to do well from!

Our download numbers have been ok for the first 2 weeks since launch, but could certainly do a lot better. Hopefully things will pick up, but have noticed that the % of people reviewing the app who have downloaded it is very low. Hopefully this will pick up as well. I know there is debate about how important the reviews are, but I personally think they are very important as I always read them before I download an app on my iPhone.

Anyhow... back to my point

I have decided to do a good deed for the day. Private message me the name of your free app (or paid app with code) and I will write you up a really positive review....you don't have to review my app in return (although that would be nice!)....it is simply my good deed for the day to help out fellow developers struggling in this tough market.

Will also PM you when I have done it, and what I wrote so you can see it was me that left it.

I thought Apple had blocked purchases with codes from leaving reviews?

Good reviews won't get you more sales.

But bad reviews will get you less.

Which is why soliciting reviews is kinda pointless. If you have a good app, you'll naturally get good reviews. If your app sucks, then there is no use soliciting good reviews to cover up the bad ones.

They did. And correct if your app is no good and you are just trying to cover your bad reviews with good, it won't work.

I would guess that reviews don't matter a whole lot if people were buying that Lockify app for weeks on end when ever single review said it was a fake and just wallpapers. Mainly based off of that app I would say not a lot of people look at reviews when purchasing an app esp if it's only .99.
