Prmo code still can review

I remember a while ago I heard that users redeemed via prom code are no longer able to review the apps. I tried it once today and that's not the case for me. prom code still has the right to review. is it just my case?

I have seen a few reviews in other apps lately which says "Thanks for sharing promo code on facebook " that means those people are able to review. But it just doesnt work for me.
Could you please tell in detail whether you downloaded the app in Device/PC itunes and whether you reviewed it on device/PC.

guys, no longer work today.

I am gonna try it again tomorrow to see how it goes.

I download the code from itunes connect - reviewed it via itunes on PC.

Promo codes can be reviewed in iTunes (not appstore on idevice) if they were redeemed on the PC (not on idevice... and yes, apple computers are also PCs).

Maybe there is also a 1 hour restriction on it, but it is not confirmed.

Promo Dispenser users review apps on Facebook, but we tell them to review it also on iTunes and they often do. I know this as a fact.

got it.

I first tried to review on pc and it worked. and then 2nd day I tried but on iphone and it did not work. I thought the problem is the code and now i understand that it depends on the device.

I think that's not fair, Apple should either allow or disallow prom code to review, not discriminate by device.

I dont think its intentional , doesnt make any sense.Its surely a bug which is helping few people who know it

It is probably because you still can review promo codes on the MAC Store and it is probably based on the same system like iTunes and they probably can't differentiate between the two.
