Question Questions about application websites

okay so i have a fairly simple website for my applications and im wondering what the next step is. the site gets around 50 visits a month and i want to know the nature of these views. so here's my questions.

Do you view an app's website before you purchase it?

do you use the website for support/faq?

do you visit a good app's website to check for other apps?

all your answers would be very helpful and hopefully these questions are on the minds of others too

happy developing, The DCA team

My website has been invaluable for my apps. I know for a fact it has resulted in extra sales. The main reason is that my website has a shot of every screen in my apps. My apps Palettes and My Stuff are far from trivial and they each have a lot of screens and functionality. The little you can put in the app store doesn't do them justice.

I also have extra instructions as needed plus support information.

My app description in the app store has a reference to the website including a link.

Unless your app is trivial, a web site is a must.

I've visited a few websites for apps I was considering and I'm usually frustrated at the complete lack of useful information or extra screen shots. It's surprising how many websites just have the same 4 or 5 images from the app store. What's the point of that? Give the user as much info as the could want. The lack of additional info or extra screen shots has kept me from buying some apps because I don't know what I'm getting.
