Default How advanced should my first version be?

Hi everyone,

I´ve been working on my game for quite some time and whenever I finish a new feature I come up with ideas of further improvements. So my question is how advanced should my game be before I try to release it?

My thought right now is just to write down my ideas and release them as updates later. So I´ll just try to complete a very solid and polished game without all the extras. Is this a good idea or do you have any other suggestions? I always thought that the first release should include just about everything I can think of, but I know now that kind of development could go on forever.

Edit: I´m asking this because I´m kinda afraid that a polished game without anything extra will not get the positive response we all want i.e. bad promotion.

I believe you're right, I´ll probably try to release a really polished app without all the extra features at first. It might also be better promotion to continuously release new updates instead of including everything at first.

But how about Gamecenter? I going to have leaderboard integration since it's a highscore game and I consider it a must have-functionality. But will there be some negative impact if I delay the achivements? Any experience on how important achievements are?
