I have been downloading my stats daily and putting them in a Numbers spreadsheet. It would be nice to have an app that did the work for me, but I'm curious if these tools allow data to be exported to a generic format such as comma or tab-delineated values?
Also, if I started using one of these tools now, do they allow for entering or importing historical data, or would I just have to start from today?
Backup - appFigures lets you download all raw reports.
Importing older data - appFigures can take all your downloaded daily/weekly files and import them automatically.
We've been using it for a couple of weeks and are very happy with its automated capabilities and love the fact that it sends reports by email automatically.

looks like it is good. However, I don't know, maybe it is just me. I am kind of hesitance to give site my username and password and who knows for their ability to view my data easily. May be, two months from now, I will be more willing.

Yes I think most of us have or still use App Sales to some extent. The big problem is the way its data is stored and the fact that over time (and with more and more data) it becomes incredibly slow.
I believe that is one of the reasons MyAppSales was written by Oliver Drobnik.
data storage location is one of the reasons we use appfigures.com. It stores all info online so we can access it from any computer and it works automatically and sends me reports by email every morning so I dont have to start any app or wait for it to sync.
It also has a bunch of other cool features like rank and review viewing and support for multiple iTunes accounts which they added not long ago.
The email reports are awesome . Not only do I no longer have to login to iTunes Connect (at all), the report shows ranking for my apps.
Sounds perfect! I'm still very new to app selling (only my 3rd day of sales reports today), but today for example was a right pain logging into iTunes Connect every few hours waiting for the report to appear! Having ranking info in the daily report will be an added bonus!
In a slightly different vein, I finally got my app, AppRankings, approved yesterday so it's now in the store. It's used to track the app store top 100 category rankings for multiple apps. So it doesn't track sales from iTunes Connect, but if you have an app or apps in the 100 of any category you can track it throughout the day on your phone. It'll show graphs and let you track different country's stores as well.

I've been using appFigures since it came out, and I have to say I'm really impressed with how it's come along.
I really liked it before, but with the email reports it's become an indispensable tool. Every morning I wake up I grab my phone and there's a nice report telling me how much money I've made and what rank my apps are in, with downloads/updates for each app.
I don't know how much longer it'll be free for, but I have no problem paying for this kind of service
I've used AppViz for years and it works great. Today I'm trying out AppFigures as well. Didn't like the mobile itc app at all.
