Default Who do you use for a webhost?

Right now I am using JustHost, my site is currently down for an issue they
said they would address last week. Service is horrible. I just have a basic
package.

Wondering what others are using and what your experiences have been.
Do you also get a huge uptick in traffic if you have a successful app and have
to change plans?

I use HostMCT as it came with free access to MyCodeTeacher.com and was cheap.

I pay $9.99 a month (reseller package), and I have 4 domains on the package. Its a great site, and they have support on most of the day so that you can discuss any errors with them. It's also great value for money.

Check it out here: HostMCT - Reliable Webhosting for personal and small to medium sized businesses..

Friendly word of advice, MCT is going through a take over/buy out. Depending on if the sale goes through or not you might see some outage.

I'm currently using Hostmonster, you can find $5.95 a month promos online. Unlimited space, bandwidth. Good speed. Additional domains are cheap at $10 a year.

DO NOT use Fatcow, they're horribly limited. Features are basic, like for a home picture site.
I wrote a short article a while back on my experience with them

One of my friend is using bluehost.com He hasn't experienced any issues as of now. You may try and check this for better service.

I looked at BlueHost and talked with them but was not impressed with their customer service and ability to handle higher traffic in case my site demands it in the future.

I ended up with HostGator, great customer service and they offer VPS or Dedicated if I out grow my shared hosting with an easy upgrade option and reasonable prices.

I use GreenGeeks.com. Have a 3 year subscription paying $4.99 monthly for unlimited everything and CPanel. As a plus, I have been with them since around December and have received absolutely no downtime. You also get a free domain on sign up - which is a plus.

Hostmonster and Bluehost are basically the same company.

I use Hostmonster for some small sites and SimpleHelix for sites that may get more traffic and I need more reliability.

I'm using GreenGeeks.com - so far so good. Pretty cheap and easy to use.

I use Dreamhost. They support SVN !
I used them for 3 years, can't complain. But I've never used them for an high bandwith usage application.

I use HostGator. The support is amazing, and if you're uptime isn't 99.9%, then you get a refund. Also, the prices are pretty nice, considering it's managed hosting.

+1. Their CS is great. When I first started using them and had questions I always felt bad for IM'ing them in the middle of the night.

I've used BlueHost in the past but they started throttling my cpu usage. I was being throttled with hardly any users hitting it (around 5 people while my app was in beta).

Since then, I've switched over to a KnownHost VPS and they have been awesome. I run my website, php scripts, and several mysql dbs with no issues at all.
