Just looking for comparisons here - did anyone else notice a dip after January and February sales. For me, my sales tripled around Christmas, double in February and are now slowing again in march - anyone else recognize that pattern?

Depends on the app, but many apps (especially games/entertainment) follow this pattern. It's due to everyone spending their iTunes gift certificates and finally running out in February and March.
As a point of reference, for sales of products, 4th Quarter is always best time of the year, especially Thanksgiving thru Christmas. And Jan (or Jan/Feb) is very slow for product sales. (in January people receive their Dec Visa/Mastercard statements and have to pay Visa/MC for all the crazy over-spending they did in December--so people tend to not buy products in Jan)

Right, although for apps (again, at least games/entertainment), that gets shifted a bit. Most of the iTunes gift certificates are probably purchased in November/December, but they aren't actually given (and then used) until around Christmas.
I've seen kids get LOTS of money via gift cards and it takes them time to blow through it all.

For me, it is a little different. My sales peaked at January. Dec sales are higher than Nov, but not as high as January 2011. Feb thru March it drops to around Nov figure.
Good to see that there was a drop for others too...its very frustrating but makes sense!!
You're looking at it the wrong way! Probably since you started at the high point, you think of it as all downhill. Once you're in the store for a year, you're looking forward to that time and doing a dance when it finally comes.
