This site is for people who actually develop their own apps. Unlike you and your Pakistan outsourcers we code our apps. So STFU your app sucks and no one cares.

Well to be fair, all publicity is good publicity so not entirely self-serving. However I don't think people should be discouraged from sharing their experiences.
Other people may have been there and done that, but for someone starting out, then it can be invaluable information!
Nobooooody Caressss! You've had it on the App Store for a few weeks. A lot of us have been on the App Store +1 Year and we've seen figures over and over and over again so stop spamming the forum with posts about your App.
Tanningbooth, thanks for sharing your promotion efforts. There all standard steps any dev should learn. I don't see why you want to share basic steps. One just need to search the forum and all that steps will be shown in multiple threads already. What your doing here is like telling other people on the streets, "Hey, if you eat food, you will not get hungry".
Here is an idea for you, instead of spamming the forum with so many tanningbooth app subliminal advertising messages, you'd better off scouring the web and post replies in articles that mention the fat booth.

I don't think it's very nice to call someone's app "crappy" and "stupid" when there are apps out there that are successful for the most ridiculous reasons. Not everyone is a MZ or BG so let's give them a break.

To be honest, if this kid just post about Tanning Booth only in this thread, I'd be ok with it. But at the time this thread came up, there were about 4-5 other threads of Tanning Booth as well, which made it look like a desperate attempt to spam this forum - cheap publicity + spamming.

He was probably just overly-enthusiastic. On the scale of things in the app store, these threads don't get enough hits to make any difference in terms of publicity.

I is so annoying when someone starts 5 threads about his really "awesome" iphone app. I this thread is the first thing I see when I open this forum. Please stop spamming this awesome forum!
