Appvent Calendar Craziness

Hey Guys,
Just thought I would let you guys know about the success Appvent has been able to do. We had the December 12th spot with our Ringtone App. We were a little hesitant to make the app free because we did not know what kind of downloads it would actually receive. I was very surprised to watch our app climb to #2 in Free Utilities and #52 in the top 200 of the AppStore. There was over 45,000 downloads worldwide.

The app has also been a HUGE success in many other countries being 1-5 in Utilities and reaching the top 200 in the whole AppStore. If you guys are looking to spread the word about your app, this might be the tool for you. We will be converting back to paid in a few days to see what type of sales we will receive.

I managed to get Tangled 2 on there too

Looks like it's climbing the charts a bit this morning which is nice to see (too bad it's the full version with no ads

Looks like I also got picked up by a website called freeappcalendar.... I'm guessing they just "take" content from the Appvent calendar?

I had very good luck with my study program as well, I did not expect anything like this, its mid december who need studycalendar, turns out a lot!

Just as an update. Our app received 60,000 downloads yesterday. It is ranked very well in many countries. If these download numbers keep up we might keep it free and put in an in-app purchase

Well my day went by and here's the results (mind you I wasn't in the prime spot like other people here, I just had a smaller logo on the left side):

12K downloads in 24hrs

41% from China (that surprised me)
35% from US
3% from Canada

That's the top 3 countries. I just switched the game back to paid this morning and we'll see if it help at all.

Well I noticed that apps that are in the actually calendar stay there for a while so leaving it for free would make sense. My app was gone this morning so it made no sense to leave it free

We're expecting an increase in the number of downloads in France. Geometrica is now ranked among the top 220 overall apps in France!

Does anyone know how to translate the following to French?

"Unleash the artist inside you! Make your own stunning wallpapers and have fun!"

Here is what Google said:

"Libérez l'artiste en vous! Faites vos propres fonds d'écran superbe et amusez-vous!"

Backward translation gave this:

"Unleash your inner artist! Make your own wallpapers and super fun!" Doesn't sound good!

Any French in this forum ?

An Italian translation will also be good!
