So, you all made your apps free, got plenty of free downloads, then switched back to paid. What kind of numbers were you seeing after going back to paid? Everyone is boasting their free numbers, which doesn't really mean anything.
mine were **** to be honest. A teeny weeny bit better than before I did it but didn't really make much difference even though it got to number 7 in US Free Sports.
After getting back to paid, for my app, iHueSplash PRO, sales were back at where they were (approx). I just felt generous bcos its Christmas and all. Basically from this activity, if you have an app that you decide to convert any of your Paid app into free app + iad, appventcalendar.com is definitely the best tool to use.

1.) Alarm Clock Rebel - was selling 0-5 a day world wide when paid. Now sells 10-20 world wide.
2.) Create Ringtones! - This one has blown up I have almost half a million users and am going to keep it free. I get user emails daily asking for a certain feature. I am going to add an In-App purchase in it hoping to reach out to ten percent of my users. If they already like the app (and it was free) they will more likely spend money in the app. I will keep you guys posted on this.

We were invited to join this year. In the end, our game Tiny Defense's download has increased from several thousands to over 500k in 5 days!
But the number of free download doesn't pay your bills, right? It's great to know that our grossing were also raised to average of over $350 a day. From what? IAP, ofcourse. Mind you that our app is not one of those facebook-liked free-to-play game. It was made to be a paid app. And after we shift back to paid, our grossing were still rising for 4 more days.
