Promotional Videos

Hey I'm currently making a video to post on youtube to promote my app that hopefully makes it to the app store. If anyone else has done the same please post your video's link so I can check it out. Don't worry I wont steal your ideas I have a pretty unique idea as it is, its just out of interest.

Here's the one we're using. Made it in about 30 minutes, nothing special at all.

Nice, did you use screenflow to record the simulator? It looks just like the official apply ads with the grey circle, nice

I had to go to long lengths to do mine as it doesn't work in the simulator, nor do any of the tools to preview the app on screen aren't fast enough. Eventually used display recorder, iMovie and GarageBand.

Here's mine, very simple.

I use SimFinger (free Mac app).
Recorded the vid using Copernicus (free too) - drawback it does not rec sound.
Then using Windows Movie Maker (free came with WinXP), compose it by adding some images, and some songs.

Here's mine:
YouTube - Shelly Trailer.m4v

I used iShowUHD for the capture, quite happy with it. I used Flash to create the intro and since nothing could quite convert it to a video file decently (glitches on the flying paper), I used iShowU to record the screen while it played!

Put everything together in iMovie. All in all I think it turned out ok for my first video.

Wow! You guys all have some cool videos. Aesop's Wheel of Fables is really polished...after watching that I wanted to delete mine from YT.

We don't know what the heck we're doing, but had a go nonetheless. We used Screenium, Garageband and iMovie to make our quick intro.

Haha Love the accent. The Game looks much funner in the video than when I played it on my phone haha. I guess that is a positive from a marketing perspective
