I was wondering if there is any other website similair to prmac? Not becuase I don't like prmac, I like it a lot but I would like to use as many press release sites as possible. Atleast with prmac I've had some success and I know i've gotten downloads from the press release I did. so i was wondering if there is any other site like it?
I know of ispreadnews i believe its the same but its a lot pricier compared to prmac.
Thanks!

On a related note, what scores does your pcmac campaign score ?
My was like 9 out of 100 so I guess that was pretty poor not sure if it's my writing skill or something but I would like to know what went wrong with it.
Hey guys, I really would like to know what went wrong with my press release. As you can see, I'm not a English native speaker but I don't think the gamma used in the press release was that terrible........
Would anyone mind checking my press release just glancing over it and see what went wrong. I would like to know what were my mistake before trying it again.
Nope, there is no better replacement for prMac. But apart from iPhone related news, we can consider prweb which is very handy for general press releases.

We consider iSpreadNews to be better than PrMac, because you are much more likely to get reviews of your app in several languages besides English.
We believe that PrMac also hurts the SEO - by not using any direct links to your website anywhere. Thus PrMac site begins competition with you using your keywords, and it can become higher in search engines results than your site when searching for keywords important to your app.
We guess that PrMac press-release brought about 30 sales to your app. Are we correct in our assumptions?

Just remember that US AppStore is not the only AppStore in the world.

They brought in around 120 sales in 3 days. And I want to use your service but $170 for all websites is steep. With the 120 sales that prmac brought in it paid itself and brought in 3 times what it cost so ill take that anytime.
I would have to get AT LEAST 243 downloads just to break even if I use your $170 service.

How do you know prMac was responsible for all 120 sales? There's no way to track that.
and to tell you the truth, I used their service and there was no difference between sales, downloads nothing from a week, a day or a month. nothing. I even release the PR on a saturday morning. What I suggest you to do, is do regular updates, and offer good customer service. If you want a PR sample let me know ill send it, I paid a company that did commercials for 3m and pepsi on the radio and they did a great job. Bullet proof Press Release. the most important thing is to list your benefits, not your features. this is the lady that did it for me.
This is complete and utter bolderdash. Ca'mon - if you guys are going to flame prMac, at least come up with solid reasons, and then back them up with solid evidence.

I want to support these guys (you prmac).
I've used them for a couple of apps and they have been excellent, in terms of service and everything.
The thing is, you cannot expect to have any random apps to get huge spikes in sales just because you send a PR.
Their service does not do that, they just send your press release around, and they do it really well, it's then the reviewer job to spot your amazing app and write an article about it. If your press release is not good enough, or your app hasn't got anything catchy, your press release will be ignored. Still you'll gain some rankings in google search, which is not that bad at all.
Coming back to the effectiveness of the service: you cannot blame your local dealer if your ford focus doesn't do 0-60 in 2.5 secs, you have to blame ford.
And bear in mind that I've changed my mind after I've used them, I wasn't a big fan before, just because like you I didn't understand the purpose of it. Now I'm sold though. And more importantly, they really look like they have a very solid system in place, which I really like.
So before using them, ask if your app is good enough to generate intrest, if it's not, there's not much point!

Pardon me if my question is a little off the topic here. But it has a lot to do with app promotion.
I read somewhere that Betawork launched an App Promotion Ring called Allify last year, but when I follow all the links, it seems to be gone out of trace. Does anyone know a good promotion platform which can trade app banner space?

I've used prMac, and I am extremely happy with it.
