Default No reviews/stars from app users

My last applications http://itunes.apple.com/ru/app/my-ce...353608595?mt=8 My Celebtwin
This is already 8th app in the Store. And still my apps are not reviewed (no stars).
What techniques do you use to get your apps reviewd by users?
May be smn pays for this?

How are your sales numbers? If you're not getting many sales then you won't get many reviews. I think you need at least 5 reviews of an application before they average and become visible.

You should also use the promo codes to try and get your app reviewed by different sites. There are a number of people that post here who have sites that will review your app if you give them a promo code.

I am sending promocodes to sites: catalogues and review sites (I think to 30 big ones for sure). I know that there are out there many smaller catalogues. But I know nothing about them (anyone can point me to the list or his deliciois collection .
Then I posted to promoappcodes. Any other sites like this one worth visiting?

Will also check the forum for reviewers, thank you.

Any other techniques? Smn here mentioned pop-up for regular app users. Can't get what he meant..

Do a Google search for Appirater and include it in all your apps.

For the pop-up thing, try this: Presenting, Appirater - Arash Payan | Blog

Also, as far as review sites go, I have one I'm working on right now that you can submit your app to be reviewed at Here's the link if you're interested: http://www.theapperator.com/

And Gudus, when is your site going up? Its like very long time ago that you submitted the link for devs to submit their apps. But till now, is nothing? Any plan to launch soon?

The Apperator will be up by the end of March. Sorry for the wait. You can hold me to it!

By the way, Rocotilos, about your app... it just so happens that my business partner has around 30 years of experience in electronics. So if you've had trouble getting other review sites to review it, I think you may be in luck with us because he will be able to review it with more technical understanding.

Gudus, i see. end of march is soon.

To be honest, at this point, I have given up on expecting ANY reviews at all for my apps.

I still submit to review sites, but its like "Submit and forget" thing. If my app get reviewed, great, love to see what others think of my app. but if not, is ok too.

Thanks sjarman and gudus, Appirater seems like a great idea. Have either of you actually noticed a difference? It seems it might be hard to actually gauge the effectiveness, but doesn't look like it could hurt. ( You haven't had users complain it was annoying or anything have you)?

I haven't noticed a big difference, but I guess it can't hurt. You're only going to even get the pop up for people who use the app enough (depending on what you set the settings to), so it depends on how reusable your app is.

Are there any more websites except those which are named in this thread, which reviews iPhone applications? Or are those the "best"?
