. no your link will stay where it is.. unless u request me to remove it.
Just to clear things up. IAI is an internet domain link sharing.. because that is what I know and can offer/do for other indie devs. Yes, IAI is a small thingy.. but it is there for those who want to be listed (provided the requirements are met). Probably not going to be driving your sales, but the presence is there.
IAA on the other hand is more advanced, and offer link sharing in the App Store itself and APIs to be included in your app. I totally support IAA works and also plan to have some of my apps to be included as well.
Definitely I don't ask anything from you. Because it's your idea and your blog.
I'm just doing this as an experiment in my spare time, I don't really think small promotions will spike the sales. I had tried every type of promotions besides "spending advertising cost, building a fancy website with cool video of how the app works".
Until I could make a more mainstream app or something in the level of Tweetie, I doubt I could witness good sales from small promotions.
Writing code is not only about writing instructions to a machine / computer, but also about writing something that could be read, understood, and maintained by others. That's why, I like Cocoa.
I don't really think small promotions will spike the sales.
No I don't think they'll spike either, but they can increase by a good amount. For myself the IAA just last week has generated a few extra sales that I would otherwise not had. And considering that just a few apps are part of the network, if we could get a 100 developers to include the APIs these numbers would be more significant.
Apple does not tell us who buys our apps. How can you know that you had $145 in extra sales because of the alliance?

we are a husband and wife team, with 2 small kids, and one app - Diacarta. we worked for 2 years on it, so i guess it would qualify as not spam, right!
Err.. how can i say this... Sorry but this move basically died already. I find there is no point of doing this. People just buy good apps period. Also, I seem to be having so little time to be active in this sort of thing too..
Though I would like to redirect all requests from this thread to the one move that is working and the creator is active in it, Indie Apps Alliance
