Placing an ad inside the application

I know there are ad networks like admob that place ads inside iphone applications. So it ssems like ad inside iphone apps are allowed.

My question is: am I allowed to place an ad of my own application (premium version) inside the lite version of this application?

It is stated in iTunes Connect Guide that you are allowed to describe only features in your app description.

Does anyone also include in the text
1) few words about the developer
2) few words about other apps by the developer

It is the luck of the draw with which reviewer you get!
I've submitted Lite versions with an obvious buy the full version link to iTunes on the front page and it has been accepted.
However, I have also submitted and had rejections saying something like "Up selling is not allowed" and been made to take the link out!

Just another one of Apple's inconsistencies.

Was it free or paid app? I mean the app with the link that got rejected..

I have done this in all of my free and paid apps.

You just need to make it more descrete in your paid apps.

Yes it was the Lite version. I find Apple's rejection information sometimes quite vague so it is just frustrating, and to be on the safe side all the advising was removed. (the App in question is Hot Typer Lite). Being a custom keyboard typing app we also had to limit the functionality e.g. the number of custom user keyboard expansions/abbreviations etc so maybe it was that which apple didn't like - I'll never know.
