So... I was just starting to do some small iOS development work on the side. This guy first asked me to do some really small thing for $15 and I did it. No money upfront, just gave him the code and he paid me afterwards. Then he wanted me to create a searchable webview for like $80. Did it, gave him the code. He said he wanted to implement it in another project and I told him he could do that. Well he couldn't and he kept saying it crashed, eventually I gave him an example project using a tableview of links that were opened using the searchable webview. He said it crashed, didn't provide any info, just said it crashed. Tried to help him but again he just said it crashed, couldn't really do anything. At this point, I just asked him for my money and I would still help him implement it in his project. He assured me he'd give me my money once he did it. At this point, he stopped responding. I gave him deadlines to pay but he did not respond.
Anyways, this happened around 8/19. Recently (11/5), I have a feeling he posted here with a different account from the original he contacted me with trying to get his issue fixed. I tried to goat him into posting the code to see if it was him but he never went back online. Is there anything I can do still? I figure not since there was no official contract but just want to make sure I'm not missing something.
P.S. I learned my lesson. For new clients, I require 50% upfront. Also, anyone interested in buying a searchable webview? It opens local HTML files as well.

Sorry to hear about that. In the grand scheme of things, $95 is not too bad. I'd suggest never taking on projects that are under $100, as the clients (if you could even call them 'clients' at that price point) are not usually worth your time if you think about all the time you spend communicating with them and on supporting these small project requests that do nothing more than eat up your time. Hopefully you can think of a good app or two where you can use that code.

I will provide you with 50% upfront. I really hate those scums who are over
your money. I'm sure he is that stupid that he doesn't even know how to
implement it. Anyway what i'm trying to do is simple just give it a try. We
will co-orporate on the problem.
