So I released my game Stick Leap several weeks ago, my second app.
Lot's of work went into it, much more than my first game, and to my surprise for 2 weeks straight I obtain 0 sales (except for 6 family members). None. No joke. No embelishment. Just nothing.
Well I followed the most valuable piece of advice I apparently could find after searching forum after forum, which was this:
" as soon as your app is approved, set the release date to that day "
Nup. First appearance was on the 5th page of new releases.
So I emailed apple, and after of their copy+pasted replies, I asked again if it was because there are so many apps appearing on the app store everyday.
The reply:
" Yes you are most likely right.

I did nothing different when I released my first game, and that game made over 100 sales then eventually fizzled. So what happened with this second one?
Has this happened to anyone else before? It's quite strange and I'm sure it doesn't happen often at all to games that have even a passable, repectable level of polish and presentation quality.
