I've just read that he passed away at age 70. For those who might not know who he is, he was the developer of C and a co-creator of UNIX.

Rest in peace my friend.

Absolutely.

It's sad to lose two great men - Steve Jobs and Dennis Richie - in the same week but let's not forget the giant on who's shoulders Mr. Jobs was standing to achieve such greatness.
