What you have probably heard a lot about are flash games that have been ported to the iPhone. Pretty much 75% or more of the games on the app store could be traced to a flash game created in the last 10 years that has been on the internet

In April 2010, Steve Jobs published an open letter providing about six reasons why you couldn't develop Apps for iPhone/iPad using Flash. However, for some reason (not clarified by Apple - they said something to the effect of "popular demand") they allowed development using "all tools" and they also made their review guidelines transparent.
I know about a couple of developers (for instance, Gary Rosenzweig of Clever Media -
Gary Rosenzweig's Home Page) who published their Flash games (they didn't re-code them in Objective C) at the App Store.
I believe that performance is still an issue, and I wonder why Apple went ahead and allowed games developed in Flash to be made available at the App Store, ESPECIALLY after Steve Job's message (
