Question about APPS, Memory, CPU usage on iphone.
Folks, on another MAC forum, there are a few that seem to think that when APPS are in idle state (in the task bar at the bottom) they no longer use any memory/resources/cpu usage.
I know from my personal experience that when I have many APPS open down there, my phone gets a bit more laggy and slow. I have to close them to fix it or just restart the phone. But they said that isn't possible. At least a few of these folks. Also you can get a program to clear the memory out. So if they weren't using memory then why would you have to do that?
I trust what you developers think as you actually write the programs. How do the APPs work, and how do they use the CPU/Resources/Memory when in Idle state.
I have over 20 years of experience with IT and PC's, and know that for them, it's still using memory/resources/cpu in the background.
Some Apps like Pandora use cpu usage obviously to play music while you do other things, but these few folks say they aren't still.
Any clarification on this would be great.
Thank you!
