Default Would it really have killed Apple?

... to tell us of the 2 GB limit on NSXMLParser? You know, right in the doc section headed "Parser Capabilities and Architecture", maybe?

This is a 64-bit OS? I'm gonna start calling it 8-dollar!

Sigh.

At least everything SAX is basically identical. Not _too_ much work to flip over to Xerces, but I would've gone there first had I known.

Rant over! Please resume your regular frustrations

What kind of XML file, you ask? Federal government data -> national contractors. The 47 GB file had the Mac OS unarchiver utility choking, too, but there's a stream unzipper you can use from the command line.

It's like being in DOS on a 286 all over again ...
