Full time ActionScripter, but are allready involved in several app project. Being an ActionScipter for 5 years now, I find the iOS very nice and love working with it.
I am studying Computer Science at the University of California, Riverside. I'm about to start my second year and I thought I might as well begin developing apps while I have nothing better to do during the summer. :P
Not a fulltime mobile app developer, but developing apps on the side. I've done many years of software and database development. First couple of years in public utilities (gas/electrical), then movie distribution and recent years in medical research.
Aside from taking interest in developing iPhone apps, I am a systems analyst mainly focused on business intelligence using Cognos. My interest in mobile app development was fueled by a conference I attended taking corporate apps to the mobile arena. Though my most recent outputs were more about games and some sort of expansions to existing apps.
Full time indi developer on iPhone only at present.
Have written games part time forever, first published game in shops was in 1988 for Atari ST. First mobile game published in 2000 on PocketPC. Worked as a full time I.T. director on $130k until May this year & gave up to go full time earning next to nothing but I did save for ages to be able to make the break.
My youngest daughter, a full time university student, says "being a student is like being on the dole (unemployed) but your parents are proud of you"
Teacher (CG and game programming), trying to do some research at the side, plus some consulting. In the past I was indie game programmer with some consulting/programming projects.
I run my own business selling corporate gifts / premiums.
It is terribly boring and painful work (dealing with China). Saying that, 1 or 2 big contracts for major airlines or Oil companies, and that is my money made for the year.
I worked as a developer 5+ years ago (video game sweatshop, then boring business software) after graduating in Computer Science, but since then have been staying home with my two kids. Getting back in the coding saddle!
