iPhone question..

How long do iPhone's generally last? I got mine in december 2008 and its starting to do weird things. I.E telling me its almost dead, but, I reset it only to find the battery is full.

I have an iPhone older than that and it behaves well.
Try reinstalling it - might help.

I reset my iPhone via holding the lock and home buttons and that fixed it.

I haven't heard any stories about hardware failure, and that's the only way you can break an iPhone indefinitely.

We've had an iPhone that started to drop calls 3 weeks before the warranty was expiring. Went into the Apple Store and got it replaced on the spot with a new one (it was a 3G) and 90 days added to the the warranty.

I have the first 2G iphone bought it in August or September 2009. It's still good just need charge the battery every night. same as my 3G, and 3GS.
