Default Python, Ruby question (noob)

hey guys i was interested in knowing is python and ruby really a big thing to have when doing ios and mac os X development?

i am learning objective-c right now (command line tools mainly) and going to go to cocoa next but was interested in knowing if i should learn python and ruby as an add on to help with my development.

if not then what else should i learn?
i looked into learning C++ and C but idk what else is a big thing i should learn to make better apps than just someone who learned 1 language.

Learning Python or Ruby would not help you. Everything (almost) can be done with objective-c, thus you should focus on this.

However. If you want to learn how to program programs for the PC or similar platforms, you should consider going into C++, C#, Java, JavaScript and so on..

Python and Ruby will not benefit in your app development for OSX or iOS. That being said if you wanted to write a web-service that your app would communicate with you can use Python and Ruby for that.
