Xcode or Real Basic for connection to database?

hey guys im working on a project where i need to connect to a database that use Mysql, it is going to be a mac app (no safari or web views) and i need to figure out what is better to use- Xcode (objective-c/ cocoa) or RealBasic.

if anyone can give me suggestions please and thank you.

How do people/users run your app if they don't have MySQL installed, unless you mean the MySQL database is online.

I don't know enough about RealBasic. If you can package it up so that it can be accepted by the app store and it'll handle all the stuff you need in a way that possibly won't be rejected, then go for it.
