Default Mp4 problems on G3

Hi there. I have an app under development which incorporates Mp4 video files. I've crunched these down from Final Cut using Streamclip and am getting nice-looking files which are reasonably small. They work fine in iTunes and can sync to my iPhone 3GS.
However, when built into the app the files do not play on 3G devices. They seem to work fine on all other hardware.
The files are:
H264
Quality=20
Multi-pass and B-Frames on
48Kbs sound
Frame size: 480 x 272

Ive tried 25 and 30 frames per second. Same issue with both frame rates.

What else could be wrong?

Thanks in advance...
Sam

The documentation for the MPMoviePlayerController class says B frames are not supported under iOS. I suspect they actually work on newer phones, but not on the 3G.

Hi Jason, thank you so much for this info. After much experimentation I realised there was an issue with the B frames. Having you confirm this is great though. Thanks.
