Default Mac AppStore

Alright guys, the AppStore has been out for A few days. I finally downloaded it today and I was a bit confused. It looks like it's just a thousand apps all thrown together. Why does the store not have something similar to the Iphone AppStore where it has the "Release date" new apps. Am i missing something or are the apps on the top paid just going to stay there forever because people can't find/discover the new ones?

Thanks

It looks like when you click on a category, they list all of the apps in the order of newest released first. The exception is the games category, where you have to click on a sub-category to get that view. The sub-category list is kinda hidden on the bottom right of the screen though.

Yeah the way it works is more similar to the app store found on the iPad.
I just submitted my first game to the mac app store, hope it gets approved soon.

Nope not yet, but I might try it out future updates. As for this one, it was a quick port from iOS to Mac OS X (cocos2d made it really easy), I just want to see what kind of sales number i might get compared with the iOS app store.

Yes, that's what I did to. I just want to test the market. How long did it take to get your paid contract approved? I added the Mac Dev to the ios Dev so it should t be too long, right?

HI there. A very naive question : can anyone tell me if from your iPhone/iPad app, there is a lot of work on the code to do to port it to the Mac AppStore ? Is the code exactely the same ? Thanks for your help !

It's pretty similar. Not exactly the same. They use NSObjects instead of UIObjects.
