Default Tutorial: UIProgressView - the "official" way - with clear overlay

If you wish viewing in highdef, go to vimeo and become a member, it's free.

This tutorial shows a UIProgressView where I create a clear UIView and overlay another UIView. The underlying UIView is faded, and a UIImage and a UIProgressView is placed on a clear UIView and overlays the faded UIView. I believe this is still the way Apple recommends. It's pretty cool, as you could use this technique to easily create a non-rectangular view if you wished.

BTW, you should note that the moveBar method is lousy design...the other controller should control it. I was going to explain why, but my kid was screaming bloody murder so my thoughts were elsewhere - lol.

See the next tutorial where I fix it. But then I use it as an example for notifications. Notifications are super easy, but super important. I don't know what I was thinking.... lol

*** remember, I don't get paid for this

Hello,

thank for the Great Tutorial. It works perfect.
But now I want to use it in one of my apps, but I can't get the LoadingViewController(so i called the Controller) to get loaded.
I did the Same code as you did, but it is not working.
Perhaps because my ViewViewController(the One who Calla the LoadingViewController) is Part of a TabController and contains a NavigationController. I don't get an Error, the LoadingViewController just is not showing up.

Perhaps you have a Tip for me to solve this problem.

Thanks again,
Urkman

Can anyone give me the code for this? My video doesn't buffer properly and screws up 18 seconds in.
