So I'm a first year engineering student and I want to make an App for a design project. I'm trying to figure out how difficult it will be for me to do this.
My only programming experience was a programming class I took last semester. The whole class was in C++, and I learnt the basics, and got into some classes at the end of the semester. I just want some opinions on how hard it will be for me to learn objective-C and then make an app. Although I had never done any programming before my class, I understood it all and I am a very quick learner, so I'm up for learning objective-C, but I just want to know how hard this is going to be.

Hi engstudent,
I hope you've not been put off trying this by the one reply you got earlier! I'm also a very new programmer; I've wireframed an app and am now backing up to teach myself Objective-C (from a book) and Java (via Code Year, in order to have another language under my belt). My conclusion: yes, it may be hard, but it is probably doable. So I'm doing it.
