iOS 4.2.1 on iPod Gen 2, and Xcode 4.2.1 Build 4D502

Hi - I am trying to get Xcode to run my program on an iPod Gen 2 with iOS 4.2.1.

This is the error I get: "Xcode cannot run using the selected device."

"No provisioned iOS devises are available with a compatible iOS version. Connect an iOS device with a recent enough version of iOS to run you application or choose an iOS simulator as the destination."

I am running Xcode 4.2.1 Build 4D502 and have tried:
1. Set my deployment target to iOS 4.2
2. I attempted to install iOS 5 on the iPod however it's too old.

Any suggestions on what I can do to install my application on the iPod Gen 2?

I need to send it to a client.
