Tool for tying iOS apps to Smart TV apps

Hi Guys (and Gals) – So I came across this tool called MOVL Connect that lets iPhone and Android app developers create cross platform apps between smart phones and smart TVs. A lot of my developer clients are asking me if I think there is good money to be made in the realm of Smart TV apps. What do you think? Is this the next wave of apps? Will Smart TV apps replace things like gaming consoles?
