Upgrade xcode and sdk

hi friends i want t upgrade my xcode and sdk version so i have on my mac os x version 10.6.8 and the old version of xcode sdk i would like to update it to the last version please show me the way please.

It seems like you already have the latest mac os x 10.6.8(if not then you can upgrade it using the native software updater, Apple Icon on the menu bar -> software update..).

To upgrade XCode and SDK you must be a registered apple developer. If you are, then go the apple developer's page, from there you will be able to download the latest xcode and sdks. I presume the SDK in question here is the iOS SDK. After downloading the .DMG file, install it like a regular application. Once its done, you will be able to see two more simulators inside your xcode:
*iOS 5 for iPhone
*iOS 5 for iPad

You will be able to connect you previous device without any problem. But if you have upgraded your device to iOS5 then you would be required to provision your device again.
